How the Modul'Ear monitors sound or vibration events in your environment.
Wavely puts its sound, ultrasound and vibration analysis capabilities at your service for your production monitoring, maintenance, quality control, safety or environmental monitoring challenges.

This ability to analyze is based on the Modul'Ear solution, which we present to you here. Modul'Ear is a solution combining a “data-logger”, a feedback of acoustic and vibratory indicators and a visualization platform.

What is a “data logger”?

One Data logger Is a sensor capable of recording physical data. Les data may vary depending on the sector of activity. These can be measurements of temperature, acoustic waves, vibration, or pressure, for example.

The Modul'ear is a, therefore, a data logger that allows data to be collected in several configurations, which can be defined or modified remotely. It records, stores and reports this data at any time depending on its configuration

The Modul'Ear is a data logger that allows acoustic or vibration monitoring thanks to its various components:

  • The microphone : Wavely has selected several microphone models, tested and calibrated beforehand internally and adapts this component according to the use case, the relevant frequency band and the need expressed by the customer.
  • THEaccelerometer : measures vibration levels.
  • La acquisition card : configurable remotely and allowing the calculation of specific indicators up to the implementation of machine learning models.

The Modul'Ear listens continuously, which requires analysis to fully understand the data. What types of data do we use for these analyses?

Raw data, or digital audio, is stored on a hard drive in the sensor, with more or less history depending on the configurations.

The data processed are acoustic or vibratory indicators. calculated at the “edge”, i.e. at the sensor level, in order to be less heavy. They are sent back to the server to perform the surveillance. For example, it may be necessary to calculate the noise level every second.

The analysis of the raw data by our experts makes it possible to select the relevant indicators that should then be automatically calculated by the sensor in real time to monitor the occurrence of events.

And a word about our experts: how do they process data?

Faced with the mass of data that can be collected, our analysts have various signal processing and analysis tools at their disposal to process a large amount of data in a reasonable amount of time. Data-science methods make it possible to refine analyses, solve the problem and develop artificial intelligence models.

Our analysts intervene to assist you in choosing the configuration of the sensor, in the analysis of raw data to allow the selection of relevant indicators, and to assist you in understanding the data reported.

Modul'Ear can thus allow to continuously monitor production processes, on site or remotely, or environments for safety or maintenance.
